The Golden Globe winning Netflix mini-series will return with a new cast, new twists and turns, and, of course, all-new beef.

One of the most successful shows at the&nbsp;2024 <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/squid-game-lee-yoo-mi-jiyoung-makes-history-at-the-2022-creative-arts-emmys" title="Squid Game's Lee Yoo-Mi Makes History at the 2022 Creative Arts Emmys" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emmys</a>,&nbsp;BEEF's&nbsp;10-episode first season blew critics and audiences away. The&nbsp;irreverent comedy&nbsp;tells the complicated story of Amy Lau (Ali Wong) and Danny Cho (Steven Yeun) after they face off in a heated traffic incident. As their anger grows and their pasts are revealed, director Lee Sung Jin delivers a complex portrait of the human condition. And even with the story of the feuding pair ending, audiences cannot help but yearn for a second season.&nbsp;

It will focus on two "beefing" couples, featuring breakout star from&nbsp;May December,&nbsp;Charles Melton, and&nbsp;Priscilla&nbsp;star&nbsp;Cailee Spaeny. Both Melton and Spaeny have confirmed their roles in the project.&nbsp;In discussing the script with&nbsp;<a href="https://vmagazine.com/article/vman-53-taking-the-stage-with-charles-melton/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">V Man</a>&nbsp;magazine, Melton gushed, &ldquo;I'm very excited. It&rsquo;s some of the best stuff I&rsquo;ve ever read."

The other couple&nbsp;is rumoured to be <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/full-list-2024-golden-globe-winners-steven-yeun-ali-wong-barbie-oppenheimer" title="Here are All the Winners of The 2024 Golden Globes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Golden Globe winner</a> Oscar Isaac and Promising Young Woman&nbsp;actress <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/the-boldest-looks-at-the-sag-awards-2021" title="SAG Awards 2021: All The Best-Dressed Celebrities" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Carey Mulligan</a>. The original castings for these roles were Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal, who coincidentally played a complicated couple twenty years ago in&nbsp;Brokeback Mountain. However, reports have stated that this iconic combo fell through,&nbsp;and Isaac and Mulligan will begin shooting this Fall.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Director Lee Sung Jin, in conversation with&nbsp;<a href="https://www.elle.com/culture/movies-tv/a43521711/beef-season-2-news-date-cast-spoilers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ELLE</a>, stated, &ldquo;Cards on the table, we did pitch this show as a limited anthology, so there is sort of a close-ended-ness to the story of Danny and Amy." Jin also told the press that when it comes to the new&nbsp;BEEF, he has "three seasons mapped out currently.&rdquo;
