Triumph Motor Company Launches It's First Model After 40 years
The project, brimming with design and technology, was brought to life by BMW, the owner of the Triumph Motor Company brand.
After an absence of 40 years from the automotive market, Triumph Motor Company has made a triumphant return, teaming up with the renowned Makkina design house to unveil their latest creation: the Triumph TR25, an impressive electric concept car. Paying homage to the iconic Triumph TR2 from the 1950s, this sleek and minimalist vehicle is a true marvel in design.
Drawing inspiration from the past while embracing modernity, the TR25 features clean lines and subtle yet striking details. Notably, the two headlights proudly display the number "25" in their center, commemorating Makkina's 25th anniversary. The design also incorporates bold fenders and prominent headlights reminiscent of the beloved 1953 model.
Inside the cabin, the focus is entirely on the driver's comfort, with just one folding passenger seat. Makkina opted for a simple yet functional dashboard, displaying essential information like battery range, road speed, and charge level. The steering wheel nods to the classic Triumph TR2 while integrating cutting-edge technology.
Leveraging the BMW i3s platform, Triumph Motor Company collaborated closely on this project. The electric motor boasts impressive acceleration, propelling the TR25 from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 6.8 seconds, and providing a range of up to 153 miles on a single charge. This powerful combination of heritage and innovation promises an exhilarating driving experience for electric car enthusiasts and automotive aficionados alike.
