Most of us underestimate the power of incremental change. We believe we have to take massive action to achieve anything of significance, when in reality the magic happens with small adjustments. In 2017, <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/watches/bell-ross-pushes-into-the-future-with-the-br-03-cyber-ceramic" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bell &amp; Ross</a> made a splash with the BR 03-92 Diver. Housed within the brand&rsquo;s signature &ldquo;circle in a square&rdquo; case, it was an audacious assertion that underwater watches need not be round. After the initial plunge, Bell &amp; Ross continued to tinker with both the looks and performance of its original square diver to great effect.

The BR 03-92 Diver has all the trappings of a professional instrument: protective crown guard, unidirectional bezel, luminous hands and indices, and 300m water resistance. It is even operationally tested in an aquatic environment to ensure top-notch performance.
The latest BR 03 Diver series builds on this. Notice that the &ldquo;92&rdquo; has been dropped from the nomenclature &mdash; this indicates the presence of the BR-CAL.302 automatic movement with upgraded power reserve of 54 hours.

The steel entries welcome a ceramic insert on the bezel to ensure that the all-important dive markers remain immutable. Arrow hands replace the old baton ones for improved readability; new numeral typography on the bezel achieves the same. The ultra-resistant rubber or canvas strap is also redesigned to fit more wrists.

Joining the BR 03 Diver Steel is a pair of ceramic beauties. The compelling material is a Bell &amp; Ross favourite, often appearing on its special editions. The BR 03 Diver Black Matte Ceramic possesses the sleek silhouette of stealth vessels or scuba gear, while the BR 03 Diver Full Lum Ceramic shines like a spotlight in the dark depths thanks to a fully lumed dial.
Ultimately, the minor tweaks in the new BR 03 Diver may not necessarily be groundbreaking, but they are transformative nonetheless.
