The drama film starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, and Rosamund Pike is set to open the 2023 BFI London Film Festival.

While the ongoing <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/hollywood-actors-strike-sag-writers-union-red-carpet-cancelled" target="_blank" title="Hollywood is On Strike: What Does It Mean For Summer's Red Carpets?" rel="noopener">SAG and WGA strikes</a> have effectively shut down Hollywood, across the pond, the annual BFI London Film Festival has landed one of the most anticipated British films of the year as its opener.&nbsp;
On October 4, Saltburn, written and directed by the Oscar-winning Emerald Fennell, will premiere at the London Film Festival at London&rsquo;s Royal Festival Hall. The film has an A-list cast including Barry Keoghan, <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/grooming/best-mens-haircuts-2023-ideas-celebrity-hair-inspirations" target="_blank" title="The Best Male Celebrity Hair Trends to Hop On This Fall 2023" rel="noopener">Jacob Elordi</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/rosamund-pike-camille-cotin-and-others-attend-dior-gala-in-venice" target="_blank" title="Rosamund Pike, Camille Cotin and Others Attend Dior's Gala in Venice" rel="noopener">Rosamund Pike</a>, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe, and <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/the-boldest-looks-at-the-sag-awards-2021" target="_blank" title="SAG Awards 2021: All The Best-Dressed Celebrities" rel="noopener">Carey Mulligan</a>. 
Per the synopsis, the story follows an Oxford University student Oliver Quick (Keoghan) who "finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family&rsquo;s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten."

While Fennell serves as the writer and producer, Saltburn is also co-produced by <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/best-margot-robbie-barbie-movie-looks-press-tour-celebrity-fashion" target="_blank" title="All of Margot Robbie's Best Barbie-Inspired Looks So Far" rel="noopener">Margot Robbie</a> and Josey McNamara.&nbsp;
"I&rsquo;m honoured that our film is able to open this year&rsquo;s BFI London Film Festival. "It feels extra-special that Saltburn, this very British tale of excess, is able to make its international debut at the wonderful BFI."

The rest of the film lineup for the London Film Festival has yet to be revealed, and will not be unveiled until the end of August. Saltburn is currently set to be released in theatres on November 24.
