Sushi Park Paris Opens at Saint Laurent Rive Droite

If you’re heading to Paris Fashion Week, this is the spot to dine at.

On the second floor of a two-storey strip mall on Sunset Boulevard, there’s an unassuming sushi restaurant that has garnered a reputation for its A-list clientele. From Beyoncé and Jay-Z to Justin and Hailey Bieber, celebs go there to be seen. Dua Lipa basically announced her relationship with Callum Turner by sharing a kiss on that balcony. Okay, but what about the food? The omakase-only joint is notorious for its sign on the front door: “No trendy sushi! No California roll! No spicy tuna roll!” And since what is being served is chef’s choice, expect a casual dinner to average between $200 and $400 per pax. This is the mythos of Sushi Park.

Opened by Chef Peter Park in 2006, the trendy hotspot is a favourite of Saint Laurent Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello and his inner circle of friends. So when he was refurbishing his chic lifestyle concept store Rive Droite last year (a year-long affair), he decided to take Sushi Park out of the strip mall and into his own retail space. Sushi Park Paris opens on the lower level of Rive Droite this weekend, ahead of Paris Fashion Week. It’s the first permanent location of the Los Angeles restaurant outside of California, and it’s going to be the dining destination during the fashion event. Swing by for a couple of nigiri and a whole lot of people watching if you’ve got a chance — both are in season.
