Gucci's Pineapple Collection Opens a Season of Colour and Playfulness
The House's latest Men's Ready to Wear collection offers playful motifs and joyful colours, promising a new season of light-heartedness.
Combining a pleasing mix of collegiate and streetwear aesthetics, the Gucci Pineapple Collection showcases a palette of light pastels with pineapple and rose motifs that pleasingly contrast with tones of deep blues and greens. The collection comprises ready to wear pieces ranging from formalwear to fleece tracksuits enriched with a patch stating the number of songs (22,705) to which Gucci has been referenced to.
To complement the selection, sneakers and leather accessories boast the pineapple motif in bright yellow which contrasts against the GG supreme canvas base.
The spirited mood of the collection is illustrated throughout the campaign where a cast of characters unwind at The Colony Hotel, the much-loved winter escape of the beau monde. A relaxed yet vividly coloured setting complemented by bold retro designs of the beachside getaway perfectly captures the capsule’s timeless playfulness through images and video that take on a vintage-like quality.
Showcased in Gucci stores worldwide through thoughtfully dedicated window displays and pop-ups, the collection’s creativity riffs on the pineapple design and the gingham check found in the selection. Glossy green vertical frames outlined by LED strip lights define the space, while a ruby red carpet with a pineapple and rose illuminated sign complement the environment.
