Saint Laurent Teases Fall/Winter 2017 Menswear

Sneak a peek at Anthony Vaccarello's Fall/Winter 2017 menswear collection for Saint Laurent.

After a powerful women's SS17 debut, we're waiting to see what Anthony Vaccarello's got up his sleeves for menswear at Saint Laurent. We've only got a couple of pictures and a video – that's essentially more moodboard than lookbook – to go off on so far.

The new #YSL05 film is an almost meta take on the relationship between creator and viewer. Musician and model Lukas Ionescu insists it's his movie and thrusts the camera into the faces of the rest of Vaccarello's muses – David Friend (who walked in the women's SS17 show), and Louis Marzin among them.

Vaccarello seems to have a real knack for finding his muses and collaborators. Nathalie Canguilhem, for example, has directed all of the new YSL videos save for one. The latest video was shot in Paris behind closed doors worn by a group of boys with dually angelic faces and rebel attitudes.

In addition to the film, the French brand has enlisted photographer Collier Schorr to put exclusive images together into personal and sensitive collages. These form a prelude to the men's collection that will be shown at the next runway show in February.
