Get ready to hit the slopes in style, with the launch of the first Balenciaga Skiwear Collection. The collection marks the Spanish brand’s first venture into clothing for cold-weather sports. With ski gear, quality and functionality come first but style shouldn’t be left behind. Captured in a starkly sunny, snowless environment, the Skiwear collection from Balenciaga is for the bold.
The collection is set to be released on November 15 and will include a wide range of pieces made just for gliding down the slopes, whether that’s in Vail, Chamonix or Hokkaido. Built to maximise protection from the cold, aerodynamics and visibility, Balenciaga introduces a membrane-bonded ripstop, water-repellent fabrics and ventilation mechanics that help the wearer sink into comfort while skiing. Parkas, cargo pants and snow skirts promise to elevate your skiing experience this winter.
With this ski collection, Balenciaga is also bringing their new Alaska Boot, as well as a snow-compatible sneaker, the 3XL Ski Sneakers with removable spiked crampon. In addition to the ready-to-wear pieces and accessories, Balenciaga has also included skis, snowboards, helmets and other ski-tech, so you can fully deck yourself out in Balenciaga gear.
